Frequently Asked Questions

What is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by April 29th so we can plan everything smoothly. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Can I bring a date?

We would love to celebrate with everyone. However, due to limited space at the venue, we are only able to accommodate guests named on the invitation. If a plus one is included, it will be indicated when you RSVP.

That said, please feel free to check in with us closer to the wedding date. If space allows, we would be delighted to welcome more friends.

Is there a gift registry?

There is not, as your presence is all we can ask for. Should you wish to accompany your wishes with a gesture, further details can be found on the Home page.

What weather should we prepare for?

While we can not promise anything, Porto in late August is generally warm, dry and sunny. Most of our wedding, including dinner, will take place outside.
That being said, temperatures tend to cool down at night, so we recommend coming prepared with a light jacket.

When should we arrive?

Our main wedding celebration officially starts on Saturday at 3pm. Guests are welcome to arrive from 2:30pm onwards.

We would love to see as many of you as possible already on Friday night , but no pressure at all - just let us know in the RSVP, when you will be able to join us.

Will there be transportation options available at night?

Everyone should be able to enjoy the event as long as they wish. There will be taxi/rideshare options available to return to your hotels/Airbnbs on Saturday night.

We know most of you will travel for our wedding, and it means the world to us that you do.
Portugal is a wonderful country and we hope you'll have time to enjoy it a little bit longer. Close to our venue Quinta da Eira, we recommend visiting the following:

  • Porto is a must: colourful riverfront streets, great food, historic charm and iconic port wine cellars

  • The Douro Valley offers breathtaking vineyard landscapes, river views and unforgettable wine lunches

  • Closest to our venue, the Vinho Verde region around Penafiel is perfect for a relaxed escape into green hills, small towns and local wineries

If you are looking for a different style of trip, look for Douro River Cruises offering multi-day scenic trips along the Douro river

Please reach out in case you have questions about Portugal or your trip, we are happy to help.
